What to Pack for a Safari?

One backpack and one daypack are needed and these can weigh no more than 25kg. It is compulsory you take a backpack (and not a suitcase) as the trucks store units are under the carriage. most importantly:

8. 2 long sleeved shirts & 3-4 short sleeved shirts

9. 2 pairs of trousers or skirts

10. 1-2 pairs of shorts & 1 pair of Tracksuit pants

11. Light sweater & Water/wind proof jacket

12. Comfortable walking boots/trainers & Sandals/flip flops

13. 1 set of smart clothes & shoes

14. Hat, swimsuit, towel, reading material

15. Inexpensive watch & sunglasses

16. Personal toiletries (spare contact lenses & solution, spare glasses, toothbrush, toothpaste, microfiber towels, hair brush)

17. Sleeping bag & Water bottle

18. Torch or head torch & spare batteries

19. Clothes line, pegs, washing powder, small scrubbing brush

21. Camera, spare batteries, charger, extra memory card

22. Binoculars & wet wipes

23. Small bottle hand sanitizer & earplugs

24. Pen knife, small sewing kit, resealable plastic bags

25. Universal plug adapter & music (IPod etcetera with earphones) & phone charger

26. Battery pack (2 if you can) & phone with alarm clock

27. Medicines: Pain pills, anti-diarrhoea pills, laxatives, anti-motion sickness pills,

29. Peaceful sleep mosquito repellent, small bottle citronella oil, calamine lotion

30. 2 in 1 shampoo/ conditioner & face wash doubling as body wash

31. Tampons (sometimes difficult to find on the road) or diva cup

32. Smaller day pack you can wear (for your phone, camera, money, passport, wet wipes, snacks, sunscreen)
